Tissue processing- it is the procedure used to remove water from the cells and replace it with a medium that solidifies the mass.it is helpful in cutting of very thin sections which can be later used for analysis.sections are treated with alchohol for dehydration,which is later removed by xylene. paraffin wax later introduced takes place of ester and solidifies the mass.
immunohistochemistry- it is based on the immunological principles.the process used here involves detecting antigens in the tissue by exposing it to antibodies.it is mainly used in diagnosis of abnormal cells like cancer and also used to identify biomarkers in the body.
Similarities include both the techniques are used in study of tissiues and cells.
