Question
Need help with my lab report calculations. All work must be shown for full points thanks!!
Use the following data obtained with mV/pH meter equipped with electrode for direct Cl- measurement to prepare a graph plot of mV vs log Cl- concentration (ppm) for standards. Use the calibration curve to determine the % of [Cl-] in the unknown Cl sample.
The unknown chlorine sample diluted with a 1:15 ratio. 4mL of the unknown was diluted with 60 mL of DI water. The standards were prepared from a 10,000 ppm stock solution.
Data mV reading 10 ppm Cl- standard 149.7 100 ppm Cl-? standard 127 1000 ppm Cl-? standard 83.7 Unknown Cl- sample 106.1Explanation / Answer
Just get an excel sheet
Plot the next data
x-axis = log of Concentrations given in ppm
y-axis = mV reading value
You should get a straigth line
right click and click in "add-trendline"
add a striagh line, you should get a equation
Substitute the data given to answer it
4ml of unknown in 60 ml dilution
