Osmotic pressure causes the water back to the blood in systemic cappilaries. tis is due to, the large plasma proteins cannot easily cross the capillary walls. so their effect on the osmotic pressure of the capillary wall balance out the tendency for fluid to leak out the capillary. oncotic pressure fills fluid into the capillaries.

edema is the enlargement of any body part due to fluid accumulation. this is directly related with high blood pressure. in the heart failure condition the heart is unable to accomodate extra fluid.so this is transferred out from the blood vessel to the tissue causing edema. this is due to high blood pressure in failing heart activity.

CHP( CAPILLARY HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE)- this is due to the serum proteins mainly due to albumin. it creates a osmotic pressure that causes to pull water into the circulatory system. this force acts opposite of hydrostatic pressure.

the CHP value in arteriole end is = 10mm Hg.

the CHP value of venule end is= -7mm Hg.
