Need a little help!
You will be given a list of court questions to include qualifying questions as well as questions that would likely be asked by the prosecutor and defense attorney. You will write the answers to these questions, show a synthesis of all the information learned not only in this class but also in previous investigative forensics courses.
For the Defense
1. You simply received a latent lift?
2. What is a latent lift?
3. Did you personally record the fingerprints of my client?
4. Then you cannot for a fact say that these are his prints?
5. Have you ever made a mistake?
6. How do we know you did not make a mistake in this case?
7. Are you familiar with ‘Daubert’?
8. Has the ACE-V methodology been tested, validated?
9. Are you familiar with the Mayfield fiasco?
10. If 3 FBI experts can be wrong, can’t you?
11. But aren’t both latent print identifications?
12. So would the Mayfield error have been caught if the Spanish National Police had not been involved?
13. How many ‘points’ might you find in a complete fingerprint?
14. And how many ‘points’ did you find in this latent?
Thanks!
