molar mass of N2 = 28 g/mol;


molar mass of NH3 = 17 g/mol


mole of NH3 in 1000 kg ( or 1000 000 g) = 1000 000 / 17 = 58823.5 mol


3 H2 + N2 ---> 2 NH3


1 mole of N2 give 2 mole of NH3


mole of N2 = 1 /2 * mol of NH3 = 1 / 2 * 58823.5 mol = 29411.75 mol


mass of N2 required = 29411.75 mol * 28 g / mol = 823529 g = 823.529 kg

mass of N2 required = 823.5 kg
