Question

The teacher keeps talking about these side reactions in this experiment, but doesn't go into detail about what they are and when they occur.  I would like to know what they are if you don't mind explaining.  We are conducting experiment for the Reduction of Camphor to Isoborneol.  Camphor is mixed with methanol, then sodium borohydride is added.  Then boil, add mixture to ice and stir. Filter and add ether to dissolve solids then add sodium sulfate to remove excess water.  Again, please explain to me the side reactions in this experiment. Thank you!!
