A gas does work and AU and AH are equal. 10 joules of work is done on an ideal gas. The pressure of an ideal gas is increased and no work is done. The amount of work done by a system is exactly equal to the energy transferred into the system as heat.Explanation / Answer
a.)temperature will decrease as it is insulated from the surronding so that part of Internal energy is utilised for the work.
b.)H=U+PV as U and H are equal means Mechanical work=0 so we have some othe rforms of work i.e. electrical work which causes increase in temperature
c.)can not say any thing as it may be at constant temperature or may have at constant volume
d.)pressure is increased when Temperature is increased or when volume is decreased Now W=0 means constant volume so temperature has to be increased
e.)In that case deltaU=0 No increase in the temperature
