Question
Please help i have been stuck on these few questions, need help ASAP!! THANK YOU:)
1.How many grams of oxygen are produced from the complete reaction of 17.3 g of KClO3?
2.A sample of carbon weighs 21.2 grams. How many of carbon atoms are there in the sample
3.Calculate the mass of one mole of the ionic compound that forms from calcium and bromine.
4.Rb3PO4 is insoluble in water
5..The sample of 18.0 g of KCl is dissolved into a solution with a total volume of 320.0 mL.
What is the molarity of the solution?
Explanation / Answer
1.molecular wt of KClO3 =39+35.5+48 =122.5
no of moles of KCLO3 =17.3/122.5
therefore wt of oxygen =16*3*17.3/122.5 =6.778 grams
2.no of atoms in the sample = 21.2/*6.023*(10^23)/12 =10.64 *10^23
3.CaBr2 is the compound .1 mole is formed because Br2 and ca are one mole each
weight =200grams for one mole
4.it is insoluble becuase it is more covalent in nature
5. no of moles of KCL is =18/74.5 =0.24 moles
molarity =0.24/0.32L = 0.75M
