then 20 ppm corresponds to 1.67*10^-7.

moles = concentration*volume

so moles = 1.67*10^-7 * 5.7*10^6

moles = 0.9519 moles are to be removed.


moles of Fe(OH)3 required are twice the moles of arsenic to be removed.

so moles of Fe(OH)3 = 2*0.9591 = 1.9038.

weight = moles * atomic weight = 1.9038*107 = 203.7066 gm.
