answer- the above research topic is about of degradation or loss of coastal aquifer what are cause of aquifer degradation and what are impact of degradation of coastal aquifer. As we all know aquifer is an area where groundwater store it composed of porous and impervious rock. this objective of this article is access the quality profile of potential use of coastal groundwater aquifer and overexploitation of coastal aquifer. and what are impact of human population growth and unbanization on coastal aquifer. This article also discussed about the impact of coastal groundwater aquifer on three coastal cities of Lebanon ( Beirut, Tripoli and Siada). For this they collected the water sample in dry season from high human population density area. they have done various physical chemical laboratotries test they have generate the physical chemical profile which is indicator of sea water intrusion (movment of sea water (salt water) into coastal aquifer and pollute of the fresh water of coastal aquifer). the physical and chemical profile that they have generated are following
total dissolved solid profile, temperature, ph, conductivity, alkanitiy, sulphate and nitrate test, ca and mg test, the instrument that they used in this study are HACH model 44600 conducitivity and TDS meter , spectrophotometer (for turbidity)and flame photometer technique ( for analysis of Na and K)
they have have analysed data collected from well in dry season using software like AQUACHEM and PHREEQC
In this article indicator of sea water instrusion is find by various chemical and physical testing. this is how coastal aquifer is being contaminated.
article also realise about the importance of coastal groundwater aquifer management to ensure sustainiblity of water resources and also about the water conservation achieved by the household water uses and household metering system. and encourage the people about the water conservation and spread public awarenss about the water conservation.
