Explanation / Answer
First environment movement was triggered by the increase in the levels of smoke that was being produced by the industrial revolution. Increase in the coal gave rise to an increase in the air pollution in the industrializes location , this was being added by the untreated discharge of the chemical waste in the river bodies. This lead to the passing first environmental law in the form of Britain’s Alkali Act in 1863, to regulate the air pollution.
The various factor that influence the international agreement on the environment problems.
1. Unequal development of the countries: This is the most important aspect which is the main cause of the all the problem as the developed nation are moving ahead toward the protecting the environment where as the less developed nation are more focused on the economic development so this lead to the greatest point of conflict in order to work together on this front.
2. Lack of knowledge relating this issue: This is due to the fact that general people are not aware about their indirect responsibility that one is playing towards the environment, by noncontributing towards the carbon imprint and depleting our ozone layer which is not an effecting on the local level where as it’s impact is global.
Factors that influence a country’s effectiveness in enforcing strong environmental standards are:
1. economic aspect: this is the most important aspect as every nation want to develop themselves this compelled them to impose some strong environment standards
2. Will power: This is also some how related with the economic aspect as some times this are being controlled by the some of the big business houses to frame any laws related to the environment.
3. Government control: It is very obvious that the undeveloped nation are lacking some strong governmental body to impose some strict standards in order to work towards this issue.
Technology are there to make our life more convenient but with the advancement in the technology have also created some problem. This technology have directly or indirectly have influenced our life. Take any example- Lets take an example of this Internet this is an very good thing we can get any information across the globe just at an finger click but this Internet is also creating an global problem in indirect way as we all know in accessing Internet we use to get information that is being stored somewhere on the servers but how does this servers operates they are being powered by the electric supplies but what is the source of this power supply is this an clean energy or it has been driven from the fossil fuel, it’s obviously it’s most likely that we might be getting some power from from fossil fuel so we are some how contributing in the global problem knowingly or unknowingly.
