2. a) ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) and schizophrenia are two disorders which are similar as these are mental disorders. Symptoms of thought disorder is there in teens, impaired attention; psychotic episodes in schizophrenia as well as present in ADHD patients(10%).
b) Schizophrenia - Hallucinations, social withdrawal, lack focus/attention, confused etc.
ADHD - lack of attention, hyperactivity, impulsive actions etc.
c) Schizophrenia is treated with antipsychotics to block the effect of dopamine while for ADHD there is use of stimulants to increase dopamine level in the brain.
d) few tests doctors can perform to check mental disorder schizophrenia(asking questions, symptoms and by seeing medical history) but for ADHD there is not any specific test to diagnose.
