Oxidation half:- FeS ------------> Fe3+  + SO42- + 9e-....................(1)

Reduction Half :- NO3- + e- ----------> NO2 .................(2)

overall balanced reaction = (!) + 9*(2)

FeS + 9NO3- + 10H+ ---------------> 9NO2  +   Fe3+  + SO42- + 5H2O

2) Cl2  + OH-  -----------------> Cl-  + ClO3-  + H2O

Oxidation half:- Cl2  ------------> 2ClO3-  + 10e- ..............(1)

Reduction Half:- Cl2 + 2e- ------------>  2Cl- ....................(2)

Overall reaction = (1) + 5*(2)

6Cl2  + 12OH-   ----------------> 2ClO3-  +  10Cl- + 6H2O
