can someone pls tell me if this calculations are correct?? Consider the equation of the line y = 0.0938x - 0.003 y is the absorbance, x is the concentration. To get the concenration of your unknown, use the equation of the graph to find x using your absorbance value for y Diluted sample 1 ABS = 0.1753 y = 0.0938x - 0.003 x = (y - 0.003) / 0.0938 = (0.1753 - 0.003) / 0.0938 = 1.84mgL-1 Diluted sample 2 ABS = 0.2326 x = (y - 0.003) / 0.0938 = (0.2326 - 0.003) / 0.0938 = 2.45 mgL-1

Explanation / Answer

Yeah these calculations are correct but accuracy is not that correct. Calculation given by the excel are more accurate. In which error factor was also calculated(R2). and equation of line more correct which has taken in acccount all the points.Thanks.
