Question
An astrobiologist proclaims the discovery of gaseous entity. The entity is formed a from some rather unique elements from the periodic table not commonly found on earth. When two such entities interact with each other, the interaction always results in the formation of a third entity which is separate from the original two entities, neither of which is destroyed in the interaction. The process of this reproduction is still unknown. Would you consider this to be evidence of life in outer space? Why of why not?Explanation / Answer
No it cannot be considered as any evidence of life. It probably may be a chemical reaction which leads to he transformation of one set of chemical entities to another. They generally yield one or more products with different properties from those it is formed. In general terms it may be said as a chemical reaction. The elements from which a new entity is formed are termed as reactants and the new entity formed is the product. For everything. combustion is a chemical reaction which combines energetic molecules with oxygen to produce carbon dioxide and water.
