Question
Part C
The reactant concentration in a first-order reaction was 7.20×102M after 25.0 s and 9.30×103M after 60.0 s . What is the rate constant for this reaction?
Express your answer with the appropriate units.
Part D
The reactant concentration in a second-order reaction was 0.500 M after 205 s and 1.70×102M after 780 s . What is the rate constant for this reaction?
Express your answer with the appropriate units. Include an asterisk to indicate a compound unit with mulitplication, for example write a Newton-meter as N*m.

C)
for 1st order:
[A] = [Ao] * e^ (-k*t)
so,
[A1] = [Ao] * e^ (-k*t1)
[A2] = [Ao] * e^ (-k*t2)
divide 2nd by 1st
[A2] / [A1] = e ^ (k(t1-t2))
(9.3*10^-3) / (7.2*10^-2) = e^ (k(25-60))
0.13=e^ -k35
k = 0.058 s-1
Rate constant is 0.058 s-1
