1) In motor neuron, the action potential begins when the plasma membrane at the axon hillock is depolarised to the threshold level. Document 2 describes about the effect to two successive electrical stimulation applied to the motor neuron. At first, they are applied with an intreval of 5 ms (panel 1 of document 2). Gradually the time intreval was reduced successively (panel 2 and 3 of document 2). The motor neuron is not able to generate action potential with increased time intreval between two stimulus. Finally, when the time intreval between the two stimulus decreased and when the electrical activity reaches the threshold limit, action potential is generated in the motor neuron (panel 4 of document 2).
