If one had the chemical equation:

Mg(s) + 2HCl(aq) ----> H2(g) + MgCl2

In regards to temperature change, explain wheter there would be a greater or lesser temperature change if

1. You kept the concentration of the hydrochloric acid the same but used a bigger piece of magnesium

2. You increased the concentration of the hydrochloric acid but did not change the size of the magnesium piece. What effect would you observe?

1. temperature will be less. since less amount of magnesium will react very quickly. other will be remains.

2. temperature will increase . maxium amount of magnesium react very quickly with magnesium and enhance the temperature.
