It is injected subdermally to minimize fine lines and creases in the face. The toxin presents motor neurons from releasing acetylcholine. How would this produce the desired cosmetic results? What could happen if this toxin were absorbed systemically? Myasthenia gravis is an autoimmune disease in which the immune system produces antibodies that attack the acetylcholine receptor on the motor end plate. What symptoms would you expect with this disease? Explain. The condition rigor mortis develops several hours after death because of lack of ATP. It is characterized by muscular rigidity. Explain why a lack of ATP would cause the sustained muscle contraction of rigor mortis.

Ans-1 Ttubules are main site for excitation-contraction coupling in muscles. T- tubules act as electrical impulse receptor in muscles. These electrical impulse are necessary for the contraction of muscle as the calcium ion chanel is activated after reciving these signals. Hence t tubule are required for the proper working of muscle contraction. A muscle cell which lack t tubule will not produce a functional contraction.
