1. Flame colours are produced from the movement of the electrons in the metal ions present in the compounds.

2. The spectra lines for deuterium and hydrogen are similar because deuterium is one of the two stable hydrogen isotopes. In its nucleus it has one proton and one neutron.

3. Because noble gases have more orbitals where electrons can jump. When you heat it, the electrons gain energy and can jump into any of the empty orbitals at higher levels. As noble gases have higher leves.

4. The colors we observe live in a flimsy wavelenght. The visible spectra is from 400nm to 700nm. Every color we see has a different wavelenght and energy.

5. Since tungsten is heated enought to produce light, what we see are electrons jumping from a low energy level orbital to a high energy orbital due to the energy acquired, those jumps are reflected as light.
