Intermolecualr forces are the forces of attraction between the ions, molecules or the atoms.

As the polarity of the bond between the atoms increases, the strength of the intermolecular forces also increases. As a result, more energy is required to break the bond in the molecule. Hence, the boliling point of the compound increaes.

Therefore, compounds having strong molecular forces have high boiling point than the compounds with weak intermolecular forces that have low boiling points.
