Question
What is visual depth perception? There are three general classes of depth perception cues. Monocular/pictorial, oculomotor/physiological/muscular (all three terms are interchangeable) and Binocular. Define and briefly explain them. Be sure to list the sub-categories of each if there are general classes. What is going on in binocular depth perception? That is how does it occur? What are two processes (one physical and one physiological) that are necessary in order to get binocular depth perception? Define monocular vision. Is this the same as monocular depth cues? ExplainExplanation / Answer
perception of the three-dimensionality of vision along with the distance of the object is called visual depth perception.
Using both eyes for separate vision is a monocular vision where the depth perception is limited. depth cues are visual perception and vision by both eyes separately is called vision.
binocular visions the depth perception is very high as the brain will have images coming from both eyes processed as superimposed images. physical distance perception and physiological is brain processing and superimposition of images.
oculomotor cues are the fixations of objects at different distances and generally, depends on the convergence and accommodation.
First question is explained in below questions and oculomotor is added separately.
