Ans: A degree to which people believe that control over the results of surrounding events in their daily lives is called Locus of control. It can be two types. Internal which can be controlled by person and the external which is completely dependent on external factors. People having strong internal locus of control mostly believe that results of an event are due to the action of their own work where as people with external locus of control believe that event are due to factor on which they don’t have any control. For an example students with strong internal locus believes bad results caused due their own fault whereas students with external locus of control believe that these is due to the fault of test system or teachers.

Stress is also highly related to locus of control. It was found that the people with external locus of control are more prone to physically stressed condition o the compared to the People having strong internal locus of control. Thus these people also face more physiological stressed condition. They are more vulnerable to external influences which cause them to more stress responsive.
