Explanation / Answer

5) A. Gonads - Gonads are essential organs for the reproduction system. which produce germ cells or gametes that are sperms and ova.

6) D. An increase in LH secretion.

Testosterone is involved in a feedback loop. Testosterone is produced by leydig cells in testicles in response to leutenizing hormone or LH. LH is produced by the anterior pituitary gland and is regulated by a feedback loop related to the hypothalamus. Low levels of testosterone result in increased production of LH, which then cause testes/leydig cells to secrete testosterone. Testosterone then feeds back to the pituitary to decrease LH production so testosterone isn't over produced. Castration screws up this feedback loop. Without testosterone production, LH production increases without the resulting testosterone increase.
