a) Enzymes used for fermentation process are produced from microorganism.

b) Fermentation is a process in which glucose molecule breakdown in the absence of oxygen whereas cellular respiration is a process in which glucose is breakdown to carbon dioxide and water.

c) In Respiration, glucose molecule is completely oxidized and breakdown in to pyruvic acid and then form carbon dioxide and water and produce more energy. Fermentation occurs in the absence of oxygen and incomplete oxidation of glucose occurs in which only 2ATP is formed so less energy is produced whereas in cellular respiration complete oxidation takes place and release of 36 ATP.

d) Fermentation occurs in the cytoplasm of both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells . It occurs in bacteria and yeast and in the case of lactic acid fermentation it also occurs in oxygen-starved muscle cells. In prokaryotic cells, all the metabolic pathways takes place in the cytoplasm except chemiosmosis and oxidative phosphorylation which takes place in the plasma membrane whereas in eukaryotic cells, glycolysis and fermentation takes place in the cytoplasm and the remaining pathways takes place in the mitochondria which started with pyruvate oxidation.
