ANSWER

NOTE: dear candidate you have asked more than one question. Here we solve first two questions. Please send the remaining separately

Q1

CONCEPT: Total positive charge on cation(s) must be equal to total chare on anion(s).

(A) Vanadium (III) hydroxide

the roman letter (III) means the oxidation state of Vanadium is +3. Thus the total positive charge is +3, hence there must be a total -3 negative charge so that the molecule as a whole will be neutral. Each OH- has -1 charge . So three OH- ions are needed to combine with V+3

Formulla V(OH)3

(B) The formulla of aluminium phosphide is AlP. Charge on Aluminium is +3 and charge on phosphide ion is -3.

Q2

(A) Ni+2 and SO3-2

since the magnitude of charge on cation and anion is same but opposite in sign therefore one caion will combine with one anion to form the compound.

Formulla NiSO3

(B) Ca2+ and N3-

Formulla Ca3N2

One Ca ion has +2 charge therefore three Ca ions will have 3 X(+2) = +6 charge

One Nitride has -3 charge therefore 2 nitride will -6.
