Ans.) The interaction of shopper when they go for toys and clothes shopping greatly depends upon their gender. There is huge difference in psychology of male and female towards every personal and social activity. Their shopping strategy also varies with their ages as well as their monetary condition. The interaction between shopkeeper and buyer reflects the social dissimilarity typically depends on race, gender and economy status.
For example, if the buyer is a girl, the shopkeeper would be showing more patients in displaying the objects of her choice; but on the other hand, they get easily irritated while handling male customers. Likewise, if the customer is rich and wealthy, the salesman is very polite and keen to sell as much as he can with lots of enthusiasm. And if the customer does not buy anything, still the salesman has high regards towards them. The attitude of the salesman varies, for instance, when he interact with a middle class or below middle class customer. He easily gets irritated, become rude and harsh towards their customer by knowing the customer’s monetary condition. Actually it is the human psychology to analyses the other person on the basis of their culture, gender and economy status. It happens with all of us.
In addition, the interaction of customer to shopkeeper also varies. For example, when a kid goes to a toy shop, he would be curious to buy and know the functioning of almost all the games whereas a mature person goes for shopping with a fixed item to purchase with a fixed budget. But kids generally do not think as the adults do. Hence, there is a marked difference in the way buyer interacts with the shopkeeper. Kids have so many inquiries about the toy they purchase. In addition, when women go for cloth shopping, at first they look at all the clothes and asked about them to the salesman. They also take a look to the clothes which they do not want to buy (sometimes, they tried them also). But this is not with the men, they just look up to the few clothes, select and buy. Hence, there is behavioral and psychological difference buyers and shop owner interaction.
