Question
A recurring theme in literature of the past two countries is that scientist should not try to "play God by trying to create life in the lab." Until recently this phase was unrealistic used to make a point. It appears that this is no longer the case. Some scientist may be getting close to doing exactly that, by evolving self-replicating entities from molecules. What have the experiments to date taught us about life and its appearance on Earth? Do you think these projects are worthwhile or should they be stopped?Explanation / Answer
Ans- the life on the earth start from abiotic molecules. Today there is a wide diversity on earth but the initiation was from a common ancestor. With time the organisms start to diverse according to their needs and the origin of new species occur from the old species. This diversity was due to various factors like organisms need , environmental factors, mutations and most important evolution. So like the origin of life on earth where from one form of life different type of species and organisms were produced, in the same manner new species can be formed if the whole process of initiation of life can be reveled and understand.
So the studies about making of new species is worthy and in future the scientists necessarily will be able to produce new species by their research.
