mass = density x volume = 0.812 x 4.25 = 3.451 gm

mole of 2-methyl 2- hexnol = 3.451 / 116 = 0.02975 mole

No. of mole of HCl = molarity x volume of solution in liter

No. of mole of HCl = 12 x 0.0148 = 0.1776 mole
