The people without any other option tried to exist with Europeans, the white men through some secret ways bought deadly diseases like measels, cholera to native Americans Which killed many people. And then the white men started the Indian removal act and slaughtered brutally many people which resulted in reducing numbers of native Americans.
Coming to 20th century the government recognised some hundreds of tribes and offered citizenship. Right now there are more than 2 million native Americans, who still lives on reservations and unemployment.
