Explanation / Answer

1- metaphor- is direct comparision example : she is an angel.

2- similes - describing something by comparing it to some thing else. example : she's like an angel. she's so kind.

3- personification - giving human characterstics or action to ideas ,animals or inaminate objects. Example : my computer hates me , my stomach has a mind of its own.

why should we use them- using figure of speech is benificial to growing in a language. language is about expressing your ideas correctly we can do that by using figure of speech easily.

favorites-

similes- my soul is lost and tossed like a ship unruddered in a shoreless sea.

metaphor- laugh a drink from the deep blue sky.

personification- even the dirt kept breathing a small breath- theodore roethke.

Example-

metaphor- 1 ) the wheels of justice turn slowly.

2) she cut him down with her words

similes - 1) As in depth of many seas, my heart was drowned in memories.

2) then like a cold wave on a shore, comes silence and sings no more.

personification- 1) every photo in the album hides a secret.

2) the sky wept tears of joy.

ANS no 2-

use of omission- is used when something, some one or some act is not included that should have been included.

inversion- is used to reverse the the normal word order in a sentence or phrase.

suspension- is used when suspending some one or something. or used in the condition of being suspended.

ANS 3- Oral is more repetitious because in that style we have to orally speak the thing and we listen ourself and our mind do reply to that and by contnusily listning to the thing our mind do grasp it more effectivily than by writting. in writting style we see the things with eye and do try to rmember things in our subconcious mind where as in oral style because of listening thing continusly that thing is remembered by our brain more sharply. and thats why we have to repeat things again and again.
