Compared to the other plate boundaries, convergence boundaries often produce the largest earthquakes

In the convergence boundary one plate subducted below other plate and an earthquake having great focal depth occurs . this is very power full as suddenly subducted plate beak up and huge amount of seismic energy release . But it is comparatively less damager as its focal depth is large . that is as it is deeper earthquake , therefore though its amount of release energy is huge but it is less dangerous to us comparatively shallow earth quake .

No , there are another plate boundary that produce damaging earthquake . that is Transform plate boundary which produce shallow earthquake . but as its focal depth is less , therefore it is very dangerous earthquake .

Transform boundary produce most devastating earthquake , because they are very strong , near surface and compare to other zones , the frequency of strong earthquake is very frequent .

However to be fair , equal large earthquake an occure along convergent plate boundary , but because of the structure ,they are very deep and therefore even their magnitude is just same or larger , the amount that that the seismic wave have to travel t o attenuate them so much that most of time nobody care s
