Corn, for example, can be relatively safely stored for one year at a moisture level of 15% and a temperature of 15 degree C. However, the same corn stored at 30 degree C will be substantially damaged by molds within three months. Based on the isotherm below, (a) What is the safe storage RH for the corn? A) the corn is a great source of nutrients and it posses a very high energy for our body. Now for the case of safety Storage for the corn than we have to focus on the temperature as well as the moisture content In the corn. To maintain a good storage condition we have to maintain the environment provided should be effective to hold this.
So for safe storage we have to keep the temperatures and moisture content should be moderate due to which it will not spoil this and also will not get dried if we think to store it for a long time period.
From the graph we can see that as the moisture content increases, the humidity also increases. So to store it in a safe rh for corn we have to low the temperature And moderate moisture content this will maintain required humidy and molds will also not get developed over there.

B) The two assumption which we have to make for the above case Are as follows -
1) make the condition isotherm so that it will not change the temperature and due to which there will not changes produced in moisture level.
2) The container should be tightly closed so that it should not get directly contact with out side atmosphere then no change take place in humility level.
