The answer of question 9 will be subduction zone.

Question 10. The North American plate is a tectonic plate covering most of North America, Greenland, Cuba, the Bahamas, extreme northeastern Asia, and parts of Iceland and the Azores. To the east, the North American plate shares the Mid-Atlantic Ridge with the Eurasian plate. This divergent margin ,offset throughout by transform faults, began spreading approximately 180Ma ago, opening the North Atlantic Ocean. Evidence of Mesozoic juvenile crust formation in New England can be correlated with the event.
