Clothing as a socioeconomic delimiter has become a controversial subject across the United States as municipalities debate whether to outlaw baggy, extremely low-riding pants and shorts, as well as short skirts arid figure-hugging tops; such debates are accentuated in Louisiana as restrictions regarding attire are generally initiated by those in authotity roles. How should people in authotity proceed forward with this controversal subject?

Ans. There are various factors that represent the Socio - Economic Inequality among different classes in the society. Clothing is one of the Socio Economic Delimiter.

Many small states and Louisiana have actually banned Saggy pants and are declared illegal. Several fines are imposed on those who break this law. Same have been done in many small places too and a debate is going on whether to Outlaw Shorts , Short Skirts , Figure Hugging Tops etc. This decision have received a lot of criticism from public but some people have welcomed the move also. Many people argue that these laws are killing the Freedom of Speech and Expression given to the Public.

As asked in the question , Authority should proceed forward with this controversial subject in following ways :-

1) Authority can order a plebiscite in order to know the direct views of public on this matter.

2) Authorities should explain the people , their main intent on taking any action and if that action is not liked by the public , Decision must be revoked.

3) A discussion involving people from every sphere of the society should take place before coming to any conclusion in this controversial case.

4) Authorities should keep in mind the Individuality of People in the State before enacting and law.

5) The interests is the lower section of the population , who wear these appearels should also be taken into consideration.

6) No one can be denied to wear anything , if a person wants to wear a particular apparel , he or she is free to do so.

Authorities should deal with this controversial matter with utmost pateince. Because many people consider certain apparel as their ethic one and there would be an uproar in the society if they are denied their own apparels.
