1) Experience of an action plan -
Recently i wa being assigned with a prooject where i had to visit a local grocery store and observe the behavior of salesmen and to provide in writing explaining at what points these salesmen showed good communication skills and what incidents they lack effective communication. However this project had to be completed and submitted within two days from the date of assignment.
Thankfully it was weekend so i decided to distribute my whole task into three units - First was to have a quick glance on effective communication notes and to list various skills required for effective communcation . Second is visiting a local store and observing and taking notes of their actions and checklisting the already listed skills. Third was to analyse the notes and checklist and to form s report from that as project submission assignment.
I had two and half days- Friday after school, saturday and sunday. I dedicated friday evening for first task. Saturday for visit and observation and sunday for report forming.
To make sure that the whole process went smoothly i decided to skip weekend meet with my friends and also my weekend piano class. Eenetually i worked on the plan and was successful.
2) Gathering and analyzing data - Which strategy to gather and analyze data depens upon type of data required and for what reasons such data is required.
generaly when it is to be primary then often i seek to ask experts, experince holder people and when i want secondary data i usually end up searching internet.
For evaluation purpose i always first decide various parameters on which such data will be evaluated.Among them some common parameters are source, authenticity of source, timeliness, validity of data, relevance of data for current use, convenince to convert data into information, easyness to convert secondary data in current use etc.
3) generally the time boundation and limited resources often create barriers for succesfull implemetation of the project. For example lets take the case of completing assignment which i just discussed in part 1. It had only two days to complete. I had to give up a number of other tasks to do this assignment.Additionally i was not able to visit a big store because of limited time and money to travel to observe many salesmen. generally these challenges are coped up with reducing the opportunity costs that lie facing such challenges.
The best sequence of activities are detremined by evaluting them on parameter of their opportunity cost. For example in the task of completing my project i could go and meet my friends and spend less time in preparing project but meeting friends has more opportunity cost (that is not goodassignemnt) than giving more time to project (that is not meeting friends) hence the earlier activity was hsun out and second was sleected. LAso in decdiinig the sequence first i make a flow of activities which describe which activity need to be done first and which has to be followed next. IN this manner the sequence is gets decided. That is how i decided upon soending friday evening in learning, saturday in visiting and observing and sunday in preparing report.
4) If the role of a student is given -
Analytical skill - This skill is often use in deciding major and minor subjects to study.
Problem solving skill - This skill is often use in solving projects/assignments and problems provided by teahers.
Critical thinking skills - Often use in class room discussion, giving real life examples of concepts etc.
