The file GDPyears contains sample data from the United Nations Statistics Divisio DATA on 30 countries and their GDP values from Year 1 to Year 6 in USS. Create a table that provides all these data for a user. Format the table to make it as easy to read as possible. GDPyears Hint: It is generally not important for the user to know GDP to an exact dollar figure It is typical to present GDP values in millions or billions of dollars.

Explanation / Answer

a) As it is given in the hint that it is generally not important for the user to know the GDP to an exact dollar figure. One should understand how it is improving over the years. Is it doing up with the time or is it going down.

From the table we cannot understand as the numbers are huge. We cannot interpret anythng. Instead of using dollar figures we should use GDP%. ({GDP (this year) - GDP (last year)} / GDP (last year))

If the Y-O-Y Gdp % is growing then the country is performing well. and if it is going down then the economy is going towards trough.

b)The file is not provided here. But it can be solved in excel by making the matrix with columns as years and rows as countries' name. And use the formula of GDP %(stated above) and fill the table.
