The 1st half of 20th century increased the optimism about scientific progress. These might led to the World wars and increased the rational thinking of people. To compare to the early 21st century; the scientific progress has been increased by day. It is possible to recover that optimism by having a set of parameters for all the participants in the world. As a coin have two side; optimism has also two. There are many good thing and bad consequences to recover optimism. But mostly it is good for our society.
As we have been discussed that science have both; pros and cons. If we use it sustainably it is good for society. The U.S civic epistemology uses it sustainably and get the maximum benefits of a scientific approach.
