There is need for judicial scrutiny but not as much as in other societies where we don't find adherence to these values. However to enforce property rights to prevent demages from self interest which harms others etc we need judicial scrunity. But it should not be too much. We should carefully consider the benefits of judiciwlvscrunity vis-a-vis it's costs.

No it should not be entirely left to political process. Intellectual economists are needed to prevent harm from such policies. We have to consult these specialists as we consult specialists in medicine, Astronomy, health, IT etc. Politicians often lack economic knowledge. They can't provide right direction.
