Access to clean water is a basic human right. But water bills over years are too expensive and as the water bills increase, even more Americans are at risk for not being able to pay their water bills. Every region of America has its own unique topography, climate, water sources and needs. Researches found where the annual income was low enough many families are at great risk of not being able to afford their water bills.

There is no law that guarantees water access for poor Americans and people in poorer states like Mississippi, Alabama, Kentucky and Arkansas are especially at higher risk of not being able to pay water bills. Almost more than 50,000 households in Detroit have lost water service as they couldn't pay their bills since 2014. THE TRI-STATE WATER WAR is the water conflict among three states Georgia, Alabama and Florida. The reason for water war is that Florida argues that Georgia is guzzling more than its share of water. But to be honest Georgia is facing the one of the worst drought scenario over 100 years. Since 1960 Georgia's population has increased by almost 9 million but still the water resources have remained constant.

There is nothing wrong about Alabama and Florida concerned about maintaining adequate flow for their own needs, but on the other hand Georgia would also like to retain more water for its growing population and demand. Until Georgia resolves it's disputes with its border states over water rights, the state must not use it's constitutional power to regulate and protect the vital areas. Urban area growth may be seen to have disadvantages in future.
