During a specific week the company has available a maximum of 160 hours for cutting, 96 hours for construction and 78 hours for finishing. Determine how many of each type of chair the company should make to be operating at full capacity.

Explanation / Answer

Let children's chair be x, standard be y and executive be z

TO operate at full capcaity, the time required should be equal to the time available

5x+4y+7z=160

3x+2y+5z=96

2x+2y+4z=78

Solving the equations, we get x=11, y=14 and z=7
