Read die report dated May 18, 2007 tided 'Fair Trade Labeling: Is it helping small farmers in developing countries?' by Sarah Glazer. This should give you some great background information on the costs and benefits of Fair Trade labeling and trade policies, click on 'Research' then 'Economics' then scroll down to the 'Article Indexes' section and you should see the link for 'CQ Researcher.' . fair trade certification was to make sure that the fair trade goes on in the society and no injustice was done to the farmers!
2. fair trade policy has huge impact on the farmers and the rural owned enterprise.the subsidied economic policy will ensure better rates for the outcome and yeild . alos gov. aid to grow various different crops has facilitated the cause!
3. well, personally speaking, I am a bit sloped towards the pro cause. you cant hinder development fearing the worst cases.Of course, the uncertainity is the thing with rules the world but predicting the economy for a developing country is the biggest challenge.If the farmers are t gain and the rural andf mass of the developing cpountry is going to gain from this policy.it should be implimented.Care should be definately taken that the issus are handled by responsible officers and benificiary are truely benifited from the same!
