Can I please have help with these questions?
The situations described below involve interactions between the atmosphere and Earth's surface. In each case indicate whether the air mass is being made more stable or more unstable. Briefly explain each choice. a. An mT air mass moving northward from the Gulf of Mexico over the southeastern United States in winter b. An mT air mass from the Gulf of Mexico moving northward over the southeastern United States in summer. c. A wintertime cP air mass from Siberia moving eastward from Asia across the North PacificExplanation / Answer
a :unstable
explanation: well maritime tropical air masses formed on ocean and near tropical so they are warm and full of moisture however when they move towards US from SE side they encounter cool air on surface of US which do not let them(mT) to make contact with surface and his mt will rise and we get unstable conditions and lots of rain.
b: stable
mt and surface air of US both are warm so mt air easily fall down and we get clear weather and stable conditions
c : stable
the cp is consists of cool air while air above the pacific is warm so the air of cp fall down due to high density and we get stable conditions.
