I have health insurance but my health insurance plan does not cover mental health illness. The insurance plan has not provided mental health benefits because many psychological illnesses have no complete cure. For example, neurodegenerative diseases such as dementia, Parkinson’s disease etc do not have complete cure and require highly expensive end-of-life care. Therefore, normal medical benefits have differences with mental health benefits. These mental health benefits do require expensive insurance plan to provide expensive end-of-life care. Care workers do require high payment and medication for mental health require potential medication. President Obama has introduced Affordable Care act (ACA) introduced in 2010 aims to expand the health insurance to provide better mental health care to the public. So, the physicians can look after a wide range of cases and also provide preventive care, and actually most people are being benefited from this.

But the distinctions are also clear because the Government left the decision of definitions that apply to package to the individual states, so they vary from state to state. Screening of mental health in primary care, preventive services, non-traditional treatment services and crises services are not covered by these definitions and mostly it varies from country to country. This means people are not allowed to have unlimited mental health care services. Also there is a problem with the lack of adequate number of work force in the mental health field.

Everyone needs health care coverage, because now -a -days, a variety of nosocomial infections, viral infections have prevailing throughout the world including most parts of the United States. Immunity levels of various humans including migrated Mexicans have been reducing day by day due to inappropriate life style and inadequate healthy diet so that medical care is essential to each and every one.
