The Acupressure is a alternative therapy that uses fingers, hands and palms to stimulate acupoints and maintains the balance of energy, reduce stress, pain, improve neuronal activities.
An RN can also do the acupressure therapy once he/she is graduate in the same. It is a730 hours programme which fulfills the standards of AOBTA – American Organization for Body Work Therapies.
Most of the symptoms like Mild pain, Weakness related to long term hospital stay, Impaired physical ability related to prolonged stay in bed, impaired sleeping pattern related to change of atmosphere are some of them . For example : Appling pressure behind the ear induce sleeping.
For the patients with long term of hospitalization need a prior setting of well ventilated room. Awell ventilated room is effectivefor calm and quite environment which is needed and the setting also relax the mind and body muscles and the fresh air reduces antioxidants. Which improve the circulatory system.
