Poke around at the other data available on this website, look up topics that relate to what you do or hope to do after graduation. Then review the numbers for Texas and compare the data to Massachusetts.

Male and female life expectancy- Male: 78.1, Female: 82.7

Obesity prevalence -68.7%

Smoking prevalence-14%

Health care expenditures per capita-$10,559

Health insurance coverage- Insured: 96%, Uninsured: 6%

When we compare the data it is clear that Texas need lot of improvement and reforms in health care sector.

It is clear that people in Massachusetts have better health care management.

Texas and Massachusetts succeeded in providing better health insurance coverage.

Texas did better in Health care expenditures per capita.

Massachusetts did better in reducing Infant mortality rate and also in reducing smoking and Obesity prevalence.

These findings definitely support what we see in our own community.

These findings give me a feel that Texas need to improve in providing Health insurance coverage.
