1). Pupil services personnel are the group of people that are referred to as “auxiliary” or “support” services, they include counselors, psychologists, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists and other special educators of arts. The pupil services personnel are considered as desirable but not essential because of the intention to reduce the staff due to budget tightening. The number of such personnel are very low when compared to the many estimates of need. However, there is an increasing need for pupil services because the about 12% to 22% of children are suffering from mental, emotional or other behavioural disorders, which requires professional help.
