exercise test? 26 What is the blood pressure criteria for terminating an exercise 27 What is the ECG criteria for terminating an exercise test? 28. What are the criteria for ventricular ectopy to terminate an exercise t 29. Name the two criteria for identifying a bundle branch block. True or False Depolarization and repolarization in the AV Node is slow and therefore more vulnerable to to blocks. 30, 31 Supraventricular impulses are normally delayed at the AV Node to allow atria to contract 32 AV Node allows all supraventricular impulses to conduct to the ventricles thereby protecting 33 _AV Node can function as an escape pacemaker at a rate of 40-60 bpm if SA Node fails 34 Disturbances in AV conduction are detected by assessing the ST segment. 85 During a first degree block the PR Intervals are variable because the atria and ventricles 6 Second degree blocks are examples of intermittent AV blocks and empty blood into ventricles before ventricles contract. the ventricles from very rapid rates. beat independently of each other

Explanation / Answer

Ans 26 :

There are many different criterias for the termination of the exercise test.

In the case of blood pressure , if there is more than or equal to 10 mmHg drop in the systolic blood pressure along with the other signs, the exercise immediately terminated as it is suggestive myocardial ischaemia.

If the systolic blood pressure exceeds more than 280 mmHg , then also the exercise is terminated.

This range is lower in the case of patients that are on anticoagulant therapy.
