the net force is m1g - m2gsin44 (= weight force of m1 - weight force component of m2 parallel to the incline.).
the net force accelerates m1 + m2, so
a = Net force/(m1+m2)
a = (m1g - m2gsin44)/(m1+m2)
a = (10*9.81 - 6*9.81*sin45)/(16)
a = 3.529 m/s
