1 a.The nurse should know the Family history of cystic fibrosis because it has an  autosomal recessive pattern of inheritance.

1.b. The nurse should assess gloria for  difficulty in breathing and coughing up mucus as a result of frequent lung infections. She should also look for other signs and symptoms like sinus infections, poor growth, fatty stool, clubbing of the fingers and toes.

The nurse should take a complete medical history and physical exam.

The test for Gloria includes;

·         Sweat (chloride) test.

·         Genetic tests. Blood tests. Blood tests, including pancreatic function tests, can look at infection and to see which organs may be affected.

·         Chest X-rays.

·         Pulmonary function tests.

·         Stool test

2.a The nurse should know the Factors that triggers asthma for Jimmy, His treatment plan, The family members knowledge on his disease and treatment, family members compliance to treatment, follow up needs.

2.b A children with Asthma have poor self esteem and they express in the following ways. Asthma cause   children to feel self pity, poor self opinion, poor relationships with their peers. They restrict on social activities   which increases child's sense of isolation and create further difficulties in establishing social contacts.
